Dr. Christina Janista serves as General Manager of Boehringer Ingelheim Switzerland and has been a Board Member since 2025. She joined Boehringer Ingelheim in 2010 and has since held several strategic leadership roles across the company’s global human pharma business.

Christina is an experienced pharmaceutical executive with over 20 years in the international pharmaceutical industry. Her career spans key areas such as the development, launch, and marketing of innovative therapies. Most recently, she was responsible for managing and planning regional operations within Boehringer Ingelheim’s global human pharma division, contributing to the company’s strategic alignment between local markets and global innovation.

Janista’s international perspective and strong network within the organization will play a decisive role in connecting the local strategy with global innovations. Under her leadership, Boehringer Ingelheim Switzerland is focused on expanding partnerships within the healthcare and research ecosystem, while fostering a corporate culture that attracts and retains top talent.

Christina holds a diploma in cell biology from the Goethe-Universität Frankfurt and a PHD in Neurobiology and Neurosciences from the University of Ulm.
